VFW Day of Service: Post 5789 Gives Back to Its Community

For members of VFW Post 5789, service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off. As part of the VFW Day of Service, Post 5789 members teamed up with Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation to spruce up a local amphitheater ahead of the summer concert season. The project gave members an opportunity to work alongside fellow veterans, build camaraderie and give back to their community. For these veterans, that commitment to service remains part of who they are. “We are still here. We are still a force for good. We’re still a force for progress.
